It started from my passion for evoking emotion.

If we could travel back to 2011, you’d have found me in my room, hunched over my IKEA desk, creating paper collages of my favourite indie rock bands from cut-up NME magazines, ready to upload to tumblr. I loved the torn up paper, the smudged litho press pages, the glue marks that allowed the paper to bleed, my homage to punk.

For my Art International Baccalaureate, the whole final collection was curated on the feeling of ‘teenage angst’. An emotion that I knew was rife in the sea of my awkward teenage peers. It was something I needed to show visually, I needed to nail it down, brand it.

Today, I’ve traded PVA glue and Tumblr for branding work that channels those same emotions into designs with purpose. I’ve worked with mission-driven companies, bringing even the most abstract feelings to life through thoughtful branding.

When I'm not crafting worlds, you’ll find me:

In nature, either hiking in our National Parks or freediving in our chilly kelp forests. Walking my retired racing Greyhound, Milly. Reading a weird and wonderful book.

A brand’s visual identity means nothing, unless it makes you feel something.

Whether it’s delight, confidence or nostalgia—I design experiences that convert into goodwill, a positive impression and ultimately, profit.
